DESPRO NEWS\u00a0<\/strong>(November 12, 2018) The Academic Seminar of FSR ISI Yogyakarta was held again in the morning until this afternoon, Monday, November 12, 2018. The annual routine event at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta has become an academic tradition that is able to improve the academic atmosphere and have a positive impact on the entire academic community of FSR ISI Yogyakarta. In 2018, the seminar raised the theme \"Reactualization of Art Traditions in the Millennial Era\".<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In her speech, Dra. RA. MM. Pandansari Kusumo, M.Sn., as the Chairperson of the Committee, hoped that through the seminar there would be a synergy of knowledge, both from the speakers and participants, so that the purpose of this academic seminar could be realized and be able to make a scientific contribution to the institution and the public. As the leader of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Suastiwi, M.Des., also hopes that through this seminar, there will be an overview of how cultural actors, artists, designers and craftsmen reactualize traditional art and then recreate it into new works that can be used and enjoyed by the millennial generation, and of course also how this phenomenon is seen by cultural observers.<\/p>\n

Six speakers were featured in the event held at The Rich Jogja Hotel, Jl. Magelang Km 6 No 18, Yogyakarta. Each of them are academics and practitioners in the world of art and design. The first session, hosted by Hangga Hardhika, S.Sn., M.Si., presented 3 speakers, namely Lulu Lutfi Labibi, Dr. Kris Budiman, M.A., and Dr. Suryo Tri Widodo, S.Sn., M.Hum. The second session presented speakers Mikke Susanto, S.Sn., M.A., Indiria Maharsi, S.Sn., M.Sn., and Abdul Syukur, S.Sn., M.A. with I Gede Arya Sucitra, S.Sn., M.Sn. as the moderator. Attending the event which was hosted by Trisna Pradita Putra, S.Sos., M.M. were the leaders of ISI Yogyakarta, including the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum., Assistant Rector I, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Dana, S.ST., M.Hum., Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Suastiwi, M.Des., and Assistant Deans I and II FSR ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n

Product Design Study Program, ISI Yogyakarta, as the 'host' in this event appeared in full formation, Dra. RA. MM. Pandansari Kusumo, M.Sn. (Head of Study Program), Nor Jayadi, S.Sn.
