DESPRO NEWS (June 06, 2022) The learning process obtained by students is not only through lectures on campus. There are many off-campus activities that can be an alternative source of learning, one of which is the Student Creativity Program or PKM. ISI Yogyakarta actively encourages students to participate in this annual activity. Entering the mid-2022 period, ISI Yogyakarta began to actively direct students to prepare proposals in the form of ideas or ideas to be submitted to PKM 2022 and PIMNAS 2023. At the Faculty of Fine Arts itself, under the command of Vice Dean III, Lutse Lambert Daniel Morin, S.Sn., M.Sn., a series of briefing activities for these activities have been held. The latest activity carried out is entitled Workshop Student Creativity Program (PKM) to screen student proposals that will be submitted in 2023. Workshop This event took place on Monday, June 06, 2022 at the Sasana Ajiyasa Building FSR ISI Yogyakarta with the implementation of the following hybrid (offline and online-via zoom).
During implementation, the activity room Workshop was packed with students who were interested in participating in PKM. In addition, this activity was also attended by lecturers who would later become assistants during PKM and PIMNAS. In this activity, the Head of Product Design Department, Dr. Rahmawan Dwi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. and Product Design lecturer, Nandang Septian, M.Ds. were present to take part in the presentation with the main agenda, namely thoroughly discussing the PKM 2022 and PIMNAS 2023 procedures, determining accompanying lecturers, and selecting the head of each student group. Before entering the main presentation session, the Vice Rector III who was also present, Muhamad Sholahuddin, S.Sn., M.T. said that PKM aims to produce superior, rule-abiding, creative, and innovative human resources so that it is hoped that ISI Yogyakarta students will be able to excel at the national level.
These good ideals are trying to be realized by carrying out activities workshop and presented speakers who are experts in the field of PKM and PIMNAS. The first session was presented by Sukinah, M.Pd. who is the author of reviewer PKM and PIMNAS 2015-2019 judges. In this session, the main topics of discussion included preparation for exploring ideas, exposure to the latest rules/guidelines, and the distribution of tips-and-tricks during the PKM. He also emphasized that some important things in PKM that need to be considered are cooperation between individuals in the team (not individualistic, but upholding diversity), the methods used, and creative problem solving. Meanwhile, the second session was presented by Drs. Soewardi, M.Sn. who is the Director of PKM. reviewer PKM 2004-2020 and PIMNAS judges 2004-2019 complete the session material workshop by emphasizing that students should fully understand the problems found in partners (target communities), not based on their own personal desires.
