Designer Talk: Eduardus T

DESPRO NEWS (October 1, 2019) Approximately 90 students of the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program filled the Seminar Room, 2nd Floor Product Design Building, Campus of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, Jl. Parangtritis KM 6.5 Sewon-Bantul, Yogyakarta this afternoon, Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Among them, ISI Yogyakarta Interior Design Study Program students also joined. They enthusiastically attended the Designer Talk event which presented Eduardus T, a young designer who works in the world of product design, architecture and interior design. Eduardus T is the founder of the architecture and interior consultancy "Vindo Design Studio" based in Jakarta. He established the consulting firm in 2007. His projects are not limited to residential bulding, but also commercial bulding. In 2015, she founded Rattan Of Indonesia, where she is the founder of principal designer-to this day. He concern on rattan as the raw material for each of his designs. His rattan chair was selected as one of the 3 best Indonesian products in the Good Design Award 2018. Together with Bekraf, he also actively exhibited at Salone del Mobile Milano, Milan 2017 and at the recent MAISON & OBJET, Paris 2019.

Attending the event were several ISI Yogyakarta Product Design lecturers, Rahmawan Dwi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. who gave a speech representing the Chairperson of the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program, Drs. Endro Tri Susanto, M.Sn., and Sekartaji Suminto, M.Sn. The sharing session itself was guided by the moderator Muhamad Aldi Agusmuharam, Despro student class of 2018. The Designer Talk event organized by ISI Yogyakarta Product Design students was also attended by Andre Suryaman, an entrepreneurial artist, owner of CV Natural House Homedeco who is very passionate about his work. concern on the development of the product design world. This event itself, besides being fully supported by CV Natural House Homedeco which is located in Kasongan Tourism Village, Bantul, is also inseparable from the role of 2 professional associations, namely ADPII (Alliance of Indonesian Industrial Product Designers) Chapter Yogyakarta and HDII (Indonesian Interior Designers Association) Chapter Yogyakarta.
