Socialization of PKM Activities 2019

DESPRO NEWS (30 September 2019) The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an activity program established by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia to facilitate the potential of Indonesian students in conducting studies, developing, and applying the science and technology they have learned in lectures to the wider community. This program was established in 2001, developing a previous program called the Student Alternative Work Program which was established in 1997. PKM, as the name implies, is an activity program intended for students. At the beginning of its formation, there were 5 types of activities, namely PKM-Research (PKMP), PKM-Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), PKM-Technology Application (PKM-T), PKM-Writing Scientific Articles (PKM-I), and PKM-Community Service (PKM-M). To be able to participate in the activity program, students must submit an activity proposal. After selection, selected proposals will receive funding from the government to carry out activities according to the proposal submitted.

In order for its students to better understand and be interested in being actively involved in PKM activities, the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta has devised various strategies. One of them is by holding PKM socialization activities held on Monday morning, September 30, 2019 at Sasana Ajiyasa Building 2nd floor, FSR-ISI Yogyakarta Campus, Jl Parangtritis KM 6.5 Sewon-Bantul, Yogyakarta. The PKM socialization event presented Sukinah, S.Pd., M.Pd. from Yogyakarta State University. The event, which was attended by leaders of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia (FSR-ISI) Yogyakarta, invited representatives from 6 study programs within the FSR ISI Yogyakarta. Seven students of the Product Design Study Program who attended the event were Aldi, Erika, Ailsa, Wahyu, Salsabilah, Hilda, Bunga, and Akhsan. While the Despro ISI Yogyakarta lecturers who appeared to be present on the occasion were Endro Trisusanto, S.Sn., M.Sn.
