Curriculum Evaluation in the OBE Paradigm

DESPRO NEWS (September 27, 2019) For 2 consecutive days, Wednesday-Thursday, September 25-26, 2019, 4 lecturers of the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program attended the Curriculum Strengthening Workshop organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (FSR-ISI Yogyakarta). The workshop, which was attended by approximately 70 participants from all study programs within the FSR ISI Yogyakarta, was held at the Sasana Ajiyasa Building 2nd floor, FSR ISI Yogyakarta Campus, Jl. Parangtritis KM 6.5 Sewon-Bantul, Yogyakarta.

On the first day, the event which was opened by the Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Suastiwi, M.Des. presented Dr. Leni S Heliani, from the Faculty of Engineering, Gajah Mada University who is also a member of the UGM Quality Assurance Expert Team as a resource person to provide material on Curriculum Evaluation in the Paradigm of Quality Assurance. Outcomes Based Education (OBE). While the next day, the workshop agenda was to draft a revised graduate profile to determine the new curriculum based on the previous evaluation. Each study program in the FSR ISI Yogyakarta environment is expected to prepare itself to evaluate the curriculum and recompile it into a new curriculum that is more adaptive to developments that are currently changing very rapidly.

In the event, ISI Yogyakarta's Product Design Study Program sent a Curriculum Evaluation Task Force Team consisting of Nor Jayadi, S.Sn., M.A. (Study Program Secretary), Rahmawan Dwi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si., Drs. Endro Tri Susanto, M.Sn., and Sekartaji Suminto, S.Sn., M.Sn. The workshop itself ended with the presentation of the revised draft by each study program. Presentations from the Product Design Study Program Curriculum Evaluation Task Force Team ISI Yogyakarta were made by Nor Jayadi, S.Sn., M.A., and Rahmawan Dwi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. At 15.00, the workshop was officially closed by the Assistant Dean I of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Dra. Wiwik Sri Wulandari, M. Sn. and ended with a group photo session.
