ISIYK Product Design Cooperation with PT UBS

DESPRO NEWS (September 21, 2019) PT Untung Bersama Sejahtera (PT UBS), headquartered in Surabaya, is one of the leading gold jewelry industries in Indonesia. For the past 2 periods, ISI Yogyakarta's Product Design Study Program has sent several students to conduct a Professional Work Program which, according to both parties, has mutually beneficial benefits. PT UBS and ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program have also visited each other during the collaboration. Even PT UBS actively participates in programs in the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program, one of which is the main sponsor. PARADE exhibition which was held by Despro ISIYK students on September 18-20, 2019. In addition, on September 20, 2019 yesterday, PT UBS also sent its team to fill a seminar at the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program.

Departing from the cooperation that has been well established for the past 2 years, PT UBS (Untung Bersama Sejahtera) and the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program agreed to formally express it in the form of an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding). This MoU will later be signed by the authorized officials in each institution, namely the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta and the President Director of PT UBS. This was conveyed by the Vice Rector I, Dr. Stepanus Hanggar Budi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. who was accompanied by the Head of BAAKPSI. (Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, Planning, and Information Systems), Dra. R.A. Esti Hapsari Saptiasih and several rectorate staff when receiving representatives of PT UBS, Surabaya in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate Building, Jl Parangtritis KM 6.5 Sewon-Bantul, Yogyakarta. In the meeting which was held on Friday, September 20, 2019, PT UBS sent its representatives, namely Eviana Sukmawati, S.Psi (HRD Manager of PT UBS) and Drs. Is Brantas (Designer of PT UBS). While the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program was represented by Nor Jayadi, S.Sn., M.A. (Secretary of the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program) and Rahmawan Dwi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. The meeting resulted in an agreement that the MoU will soon be drafted together and after being signed by both parties, it will be followed by the preparation of the PKS (Cooperation Program) as the implementation of the MoU.
