DESPRO NEWS (November 29, 2015) As a follow-up to the previous workshop, ISI Yogyakarta and Jurnal Resital as the organizer, held a workshop on online journal management volume two. Previous workshop was held on November 21, 2015. This workshop was held at the same venue, Harper Mangkubumi Hotel, Jl P. Mangukubumi, Yogyakarta, on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Dr. Hanggar Prasetya, as the organizer said that in the future, the authorized institution, in this case LIPI, will no longer issue ISSN for printed journals, but only for journals published online. "The ISSN that will be issued by LIPI is only for online publications," he added. Therefore, the ability of journal managers from editors, section editors, to external reviewers is needed to be able to manage journal articles online.
This workshop focused more on online article processing starting from the incoming article, until it can be published online. Approximately 30 participants attended the activity. ISI Yogyakarta's Product Design (Despro) Study Program, as in the previous workshop, sent one of its lecturers who is also the manager of the Despro Journal, Rahmawan D. Prasetya, SSn., MSi., to the activity which lasted from morning to evening. All workshop participants consisting of lecturers who manage scientific journals at ISI Yogyakarta seemed enthusiastic about operating a journal management program that relies on internet access in its operation.
