Jewelry Product Workshop "Eco Art"

DESPRO NEWS (November 26, 2015) As a series of cooperation between 3 ASEAN universities, Silpkorn University Thailand, Universiti of Teknologi MARA Malaysia, and Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta Indonesia, a workshop was held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 yesterday. The workshop was the "Eco Art" Jewelry Product Workshop held at the ISI Yogyakarta campus, Jl. Parangtritis KM 6.5 Sewon Yogyakarta. The activity was attended by approximately 50 participants consisting of students and several lecturers in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design ISI Yogyakarta. The Product Design Study Program itself sent 6 students and 1 supervisor (Dra. RA. MM. Pandansari Kusumo, M.Sn.).

The workshop presented Assistant Professor Veerawat Sirivesmas, Ph.D., a lecturer at the Department of Jewelry Design, Silpkorn University, Thailand as a resource person. She talked about Eco Art themed jewelry products. Eco Art themed jewelry is out door jewelry using materials from natural waste (wood waste, stone, ceramic, leaves, etc.) as raw materials.
