DESPRO NEWS (November 13, 2015) Located in a cafe on Jln Sudirman, Yogyakarta, ADPII Chapter Yogyakarta held an informal meeting with several entrepreneurs in the field of industrial products located in Yogyakarta and surrounding areas. The meeting aimed to map the condition and situation of business activities in the field of industrial product design in Yogyakarta. An introduction to the character based on geographical and sociological areas is needed for ADPII Yogyakarta to be sharper in developing its activity program. The administrators of ADPII Jogja believe that such character recognition can be obtained through discussions with business actors in the field of industrial products. Therefore, by inviting two practitioners in the field of industrial product design, ADPII Jogja hopes to gain as much information as possible about the current state of the field.
The results of the discussion will then also be used as material for the report submitted at the ADPII National Meeting in Bandung on November 14, 2015. Rahmawan D. Prasetya, SSn, MSi, one of the lecturers of the ISI Yogyakarta Product Design Study Program who also sits as the General Secretary of ADPII Yogyakarta attended the meeting which took place casually, full of intimacy, and far from the formal impression. ADPII Yogyakarta administrators who also attended the meeting were Kristian Oentoro, S.Ds., M.Ds. (Chairman of ADPII Yogyakarta) and Winta Adhitia Guspara, ST. (Member).
