DESPRO NEWS ( October 25, 2015) Approximately 40 participants from practitioners and academics attended the Craft, Fashion and Entrepreneurship Training held by Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC) in Denpasar, Bali. For 5 days, October 19-24, 2015, they received training materials from experts in the field of product design, especially in the field of industrial craft and Indonesian fashion design. In addition, participants also received materials on entrepreneurship related to product design. The experts presented at the event were Adhi Nugraha, Nancy Margareth, Dina Midiani, among others.
No less than 7 universities, including the Product Design Department of the Bandung Institute of Technology, the Product Design Department of the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology Surabaya, the Product Design Department of Paramadina University, the Indonesian Institute of Arts Denpasar Bali, the Product Design Study Program of the Indonesian Institute of Arts Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta State University, and Wiyata Bachelor University Yogyakarta sent their lecturers and students to participate in the activity. From the practitioners, several entrepreneurs from AMKRI Yogyakarta, HIPKIMINDO West Kalimantan, and BCIC Incubator Program participants attended.
As part of the Indonesian Industrial Product Design community, and supported by the existence of an MoU with BCIC as the organizer, Prodi Despro ISIYK feels obliged to participate in these activities by sending 2 of its teaching staff, namely Dra. RAMM Pandansari Kusumo, M.Sn. and Sekartaji Suminto, S.Sn., M.Sn. to attend and actively participate in the 5-day training.
